Session 2: KM-01-KT02 Effective application of intermediate emergency first aid. (10%)
KT0201 Safety as the first priority of any Intermediate Emergency First Aider. Range: Safety of the scene, themselves, the patient, and any bystanders. 15% | KT0202 Assessment of the patient's condition for effective intermediate emergency first aid. 20% | KT0203 Communication with bystanders, emergency services, and the patient in an emergency situation. 10% | KT0204 Decision making and actions appropriate to provide intermediate first aid. 20% | KT0205 Effective reassessment and monitoring of the patient's condition. 15% | kT0206 Effective handover between Emergency First Aiders and emergency medical services. 8% | KT0207 Record keeping and incident reporting according to standard procedures. 7% | KT0208 Post incident scene/environment clean-up 5%

Session 4: KM-01-KT04 Recognise emergencies, injuries, and illnesses, and treat appropriately using intermediate emergency first aid techniques. (50%)
KT0401 Primary assessment and treating as per findings. Range: lifesaving threatening conditions and provide life-saving treatments. 7% | KT0402 Secondary assessment and treatment as per findings. Range: history, head to toe examination, vital signs including pulse. 7% | KT0403 Control bleeding: Range: catastrophic bleeding, identify wounds, and treat appropriately. 5% | KT0406 Identify and manage shock: Range: failure to pump, loss of fluid, dilation of blood vessels, and treat. 5% | KT0405 Manage an unconscious patient: 5% | KT0404 Manage a patient who is not breathing: Range: a choking patient and perform CPR if indicated, for adult, child, infant, including use of AED. 7% | KT0407 Manage head and spinal injuries: 5% | KT0408 Manage chest injuries.
